31/5: Teaming en la playa / Teaming on the beach
Me encanta ver ejemplos de Teaming que demuestran que absolutamente todo el mundo puede aplicar y difundir la idea. Como Ignacio Pastor de Eurochange quién me envió un folleto de que su empresa distribuye 22.000 ejemplares en Benidorm a turistas extranjeros. Aqui han puesto un anuncio diciendo que ellos hacen Teaming y referiendo a la web difunden la iniciativa a mucha gente. Ignacio me dijo que en su empresa solo tiene 25 compañeros pero que aplicando la idea en un grupo pequeño también tiene sentido y un gran valor. Estoy muy de acuerdo con Ignacio y ojala mucha gente siga este ejemplo! Solo hace falta imaginar cuantas personas se puede ayudar si todas las empresas pequeñas hicieran Teaming como en Eurochange…

I love to see Teaming examples showing that absolutely everybody can apply and spread the idea. Like Ignacio Pastor from Eurochange who sent me a brochure of which his company distributes 22.000 copies in Benidorm to foreign tourists. In here they put an advertisement saying that they do Teaming and referring to the web they are spreading the initiative to many people. Ignacio told me that in his company he only has 25 colleagues but applying the idea in a small group also makes sense and has a great value. I very much agree with Ignacio and hope that many people may follow this example! You only need to imagine how many persons can be helped if all the small companies like Eurochange did Teaming…
30/5: Corto y largo plazo / Short and long term
Es dificil de resumir todo lo bueno que esta pasando con el Teaming tanto a largo como a corto plazo. Empezando con el futuro (ni tan lejos) esta semana tenía una reunión muy interesante con Martin Rahe, Director de Investigación Desarrollo e Innovación de EADA, sobre la posibilidad de incluir el Teaming en un proyecto internacional con el objetivo de publicar sobre el impacto de la idea en las empresas y el tercer sector. Tendría un valor muy grande y causaría mucho mas Teaming teniendo una confirmación cientifica de que el Teaming es bueno para las personas que lo aplican, las empresas que lo respaldan y para las fundaciones que reciben ayuda! Despues de hablar con Martin tenía una reunión con Toni Garcia, Director General de la multinacional Doga donde ya estan dando los primeros pasos para desarrollar un caso Teaming grande y opinó lo mismo. Igual que Maite González quién conocí en el congreso nacional de Marketing & Ventas en Malaga. Maite (quién habló sobre la importancia de networking despues de mi presentación) es Directora General de Mapfre Re España/Portugal y muy entusiasmada para mover el Teaming con sus mas de 30.000 compañeros! Me invitó para vernos pronto en Madrid con su director de RRHH para arrancar. Mucha acción a corto plazo que generará mucha ayuda en un futuro muy proximo!

It’s difficult to resume all the good things that are happening to Teaming both at long and at short term. Starting with the future (not even that far away) this week I had a very interesting meeting with Martin Rahe, Director of Research Development and Innovation of EADA, about the possibility to incluide Teaming in an international project with the objective to publish about the impact of the idea in companies and the third sector. It would have a great value and it would cause much more Teaming having a scientific confirmation that Teaming is good for the persons applying it, for the companies supporting it and for the foundations receiving aid. After talking to Martin I had a meeting with Toni Garcia, Managing Director of the multinational Doga where they are already making the first steps to develop a big Teaming case, who had the same opinion. Just like Maite González who I met at the national Marketing & Sales congress in Malaga. Maite (who talked about the importance of networking after my presentation) is Managing Director of Mapfre Re Spain/Portugal and very enthousiastic about moving Teaming with her more than 30.000 colleagues! She invited me to meet soon in Madrid with her HR Director to start. A lot of short term action that will generate a lot of aid in a very near future!

Estoy en Malaga donde he hecho una charla en el congreso nacional de Marketing & Ventas y hay muy poco tiempo para escribir. Por eso aqui solo una linea rapida desde el aeropuerto para decir que estos dias han pasado unas cosas maravillosas al Teaming que explicaré pronto en detalle. Gracias, Jil

27/5: Contento por Silvia / Happy for Silvia
Hoy estoy muy contento por Silvia Fernandez Barrio porque su asociación AEPSO www.aepso.org será una de las instituciones (junto con EMA) que recibirá las donaciones Teaming gracias al evento de Kontrast Concept entre el 13 y 16 de junio en Buenos Aires “subiendo” las entradas con la cantidad simbolica de 1 Peso. Un gran ejemplo de cómo se puede hacer Teaming con visitantes de macro eventos como una feria, un partido de fútbol o un concierto que genera un impacto de ayuda muy grande sin esfuerzo de nadie. Para la gente fuera de Argentina, Silvia Fernandez Barrio es una perdiodista muy conocida en su pais y esta haciendo un trabajo increible para los enfermos de psoriasis. Desde octubre 2007 he conocido a Silvia en varias ocasiones y en febrero incluso me invitó a hablar del Teaming en un evento para AEPSO. Estoy muy contento por Silvia porque sé que trabaja con el corazón y difunde el Teaming a todo el mundo que conoce. Esta demostrando que con buena voluntad y energia positiva el Teaming siempre es posible! También muchas gracias a Juan Rossi Heinlein de Kontrast Concept por aplicar el Teaming y por difundir este bonito ejemplo a la prensa.

Today I am very happy for Silvia Fernandez Barrio because her association AEPSO www.aepso.org will be one of the institutions (together with EMA) that will receive the Teaming donations thanks to the event of Kontrast Concept between June the 13th and the 16th in Buenos Aires “rising” the entree tickets by the symbolic amount of 1 Peso. A great example of how you can do Teaming with visitors of macro events like a fair, a football match or a concert that generates a very big impact of aid without anybody’s effort. For the people outside Argentina, Silvia Fernandez Barrio is a very well know journalist in her country and doing an incredible job for psoriasis patients. Since October 2007 I have met Silvia in different occasions and in February she even invited me to talk about Teaming at an event for AEPSO. I am very happy for Silvia because I know that she works with her heart and she is spreading Teaming to everybody she knows. She is showing that with good will and positive energy Teaming is always possible. Also many thanks to Juan Rossi Heinlein of Kontrast Concept for applying Teaming and for spreading this nice example to the press.
26/5: Gracias a un pasajero / Thanks to a passenger
El Teaming esta llegando a mucha gente gracias a digamos las maneras logicas y tradicionales (como via internet, publicidad boca a boca, prensa, empresas Teaming, etc.) pero a veces también a través de situaciones mas curiosas. Como pasó a Olga quién trabaja como azafata en la linea aerea Vueling. Me escribió que ha conocido la idea en febrero gracias a un pasajero en un vuelo de Barcelona a Madrid. Cuando la gente ya estaba saliendo del avión un señor la preguntó “cuantos compañeros tienes en Vueling?” y Olga respondió “Mas de 1.000″. El señor la dió el libro de Teaming y dijo “yo soy free lance y trabajo solo, cuando leas este libro entenderás porque te lo regalo”. Olga no entendió nada hasta que empezó a leer las primeras paginas. Y no ha dudado aplicar el Teaming! Con ayuda de su departamento de comunicación interna ya se han apuntado casi 400 empleados (muchos para empezar y a partir de ahora solo puede crecer) y estan a punto de votar a una fundación entre varias propuestas de los participantes. La pregunta concreta de Olga era si es posible decir gracias a través de este blog al pasajero anonimo quién quizas también sigue las noticias de Teaming. Claro que si Olga y muchas gracias a ti por aplicar el Teaming!

Teaming is reaching many people thanks to let’s say the logical and traditional ways (like via internet, word of mouth advertising, press, Teaming companies, etc.) but sometimes also through more curious situations. As happened to Olga who works as a stewardess for Vueling airlines. She wrote me that she learned about the idea in February thanks to a passenger on a flight from Barcelona to Madrid. When the people were already leaving the plane a man asked her “how many colleagues do you have in Vueling?” and Olga responded “more than 1.000″. The man gave her the Teaming book and said “I am a free lance and work on my own, when you read this book you will understand why I give it to you”. Olga didn’t understand anything until she started reading the first pages. And she didn’t doubt to start Teaming! With help of her internal communication department already almost 400 employees (a lot to start with and as from now it can only grow) signed up and they are about to vote for a foundation between various proposals of the participants. The concrete question of Olga was if it is possible to say thanks through this blog to the anonymous passenger who perhaps also follows the news on Teaming. Ofcourse Olga and many thanks to you for applying Teaming!
24/5: Teaming Aroma!
Una idea puede tener un aroma? Segun la empresa Akewuele www.akewuele.com si! Ayer me presentaron el diseño de una cajita que hará olor a los valores de Teaming como libertad, union, solidaridad… En España este producto ya es bastante conocido porque han hecho un aroma para el Partido Socialista y parece que cada vez mas empresas quieren tener un “olor corporativo”. En esta cajita hay un mensaje diciendo “Gracias a ti hay mas Teaming en el mundo! Muchas gracias por tu ayuda, Mónica & Jil” y será un detalle personal que daré a los amigos que estan haciendo el Teaming cada dia mas grande. Una de estas amigas es por ejemplo Laura Ubalde quién ha coordinado este regalo con Akewuele y quién no para de mover el Teaming en diferentes empresas y colectivos. Gracias a ella entré en contacto con la escuela de negocios EADA donde ya he hecho varias charlas y clases de Teaming y donde el lunes tendré una reunión con el Director del Departamento de Investigación. También Laura es la Teaming Manager de EOL donde aplicando el Teaming ya ha conseguido 8.000 Euros para un proyecto muy bonito en Filipinas. Can an idea have an aroma? According to the company Akewuele www.akewuele.com it can! Yesterday they presented to me a design of a small box that will smell to the values of Teaming like freedom, union, solidarity… In Spain this product is already quite known because they made an aroma for the Socialist Party and it seems that more companies want to have their “corporate smell”. On this box there is a message saying “Thanks to you there is more Teaming in the world! Many thanks for your help, Mónica & Jil” and this will be a personal detail I will give to the friends making Teaming bigger every day. One of these friends is for example Laura Ubalde who coordinated this present with Akewuele and who doesn’t stop moving Teaming in different companies and groups. Thanks to her I came into contact with the business school EADA where I already did various Teaming presentations and lessons and where on Monday I will have a meeting with the Director of the Research Department. Laura is also the Teaming Manager of EOL where applying Teaming she already achieved 8.000 Euros for a very nice project in Philippines. 23/5: Gran trabajo / Great job
Casualidad o no pero hoy los primeros dos mails que abrí estaban muy conectados. El primero era un newsletter de la agencia de publicidad Kreatia (www.kreatia.es) que ha diseñado la web y el simbolo de Teaming y abajo en este mailing recomiendan aplicar la idea a sus clientes y contactos. Una vez mas muchas gracias Lobke y Sebas porque sin vuestro esfuerzo el Teaming nunca hubiera llegado a tanta gente de una manera tan clara. El siguiente mensaje era de Brian de Escocia, estudiante de ECA (Edinburgh College of Art) y escribió en el titulo “Great job” (Gran trabajo) referiendose a la agencia que ha diseñado el simbolo de Teaming y la pagina web. Es cierto… un gran trabajo de grandes personas teniendo en cuenta que Kreatia esta haciendo este trabajo y mantenimiento completamente gratis! Por cierto… Brian también me ha pedido mas información sobre cómo se aplica el Teaming en colegios y universidades porque lo quiere proponer en ECA. Ya le envié una lista con ejemplos y contactos y espero que pronto tendremos el primer caso Teaming en Escocia!

Coincidence or not but today the first two mails I opened were very much connected. The first one was a newsletter of the advertising agency Kreatia (www.kreatia.es) that designed the web and the Teaming symbol and at the end of this mailing they recommend to their clients and contacts to apply the idea. One more time many thanks Lobke and Sebas because without your effort Teaming would never have reached so many people on such a clear way. The following message was from Brian from Scotland, student of ECA (Edinburgh College of Art) and he wrote in the title “Great job” referring to the agency that designed the Teaming symbol and the web site. It’s true… a great job of great persons bearing in mind that Kreatia is doing this job and maintenance completely for free! By the way… Brian also asked me for more information about how Teaming is being applied at schools and universities as he wants to propose it at ECA. I already sent him a list of examples and contacts and hope that soon we will have the first Teaming case in Scotland!
22/5: Evolución social / Social evolution
Sigo recibiendo muchos mails desde Argentina de gente muy entusiasmada sobre el Teaming. Me escribió por ejemplo Amalia, estudiante de la Universidad de Belgrano en Buenos Aires quien ha incluido el Teaming en un proyecto que esta desarrollando sobre la evolución social. Que honor! En un resumen muy interesante que me envió se compara la evolución tecnológica con la social respondiendo la pregunta “porque en 1969 ya eramos capaces de enviar a personas a la luna mientras en el 2008 aún no hemos encontrado la solución para luchar contra la pobreza?” Amalia también esta en contacto con una amiga suya quien trabaja en la central de Dupont en Wilmington para mover el Teaming conjuntamente desde abajo hacia arriba en esta multinacional. Ya la respondí para decir (aparte de muchas gracias!) que creo mucho en la evolución (y no en revoluciones) social que ella describe y que con paciencia y eneria positiva seguro que consiguen el Teaming en Dupont. Y hablando de mover la idea desde abajo hacia arriba… Ayer estaba reunido con Marta Rodriguez, Directora de RRHH de la empresa Abacus con mas de 600 empleados. Marta me dijo que hace unos dias conoció el Teaming gracias a un empleado quién lo propuso. Le gusta mucho la idea y ya estan dando los primeros pasos! Otro ejemplo de evolución social…

I keep on receiving many mails from Argentina from very enthusiastic people about Teaming. I was written for example by Amalia, student of the University Belgrano in Buenos Aires who included Teaming in a project she is developing about social evolution. What an honor! In a very interesting resume she sent me a comparison is made between the technological and social evolution answering the question “why in 1969 we were already able to send persons to the moon whereas in 2008 we still haven´t found a solution to fight poverty?” Amalia is also in contact with a friend who works at the Dupont headquarters in Wilmington to move Teaming together bottom up in this multinational. I already answered her to say that (apart from thank you very much!) I believe very much in the social evolution (and not in revolutions) she describes and that with patience and positive energy they definitely will achieve Teaming in Dupont. And talking about moving the idea bottom up… Yesterday I met with Marta Rodriguez, HR Director of the company Abacus with more than 600 employees. Marta told me that she learned about Teaming a couple of days ago thanks to an employee who proposed it. She likes the idea very much and they are already making the first steps! 21/5: Teaming existe / Teaming exists
“Lo que no se comunica no existe” es una frase que leí en la pagina web de la agencia de comunicación Barataria http://www.barataria.info/ donde han enviado una nota a la prensa sobre el hecho que los empleados de la empresa Anro estan haciendo Teaming con mas de 200 personas mientras la empresa también donará una parte importante al proyecto solidario que eligirán los participantes. Me alegro como siempre leer este tipo de noticias concretas de una empresa aplicando la idea y me alegro incluso mas cuando lo comunican a la prensa porque asi sigue creciendo el Teaming. Y volviendo a la frase sobre la comunicación estoy muy de acuerdo. El Teaming se aplica y se comunica cada vez mas y por eso existe cada dia en mas sitios. Desde hoy también en Tomelloso donde esta la base de la empresa Teaming Anro. “What you don’t communicate doesn’t exist” is a phrase I read at the web site of the PR agency Barataria http://www.barataria.info/ where they sent out a press release about the fact that the employees of the company Anro are doing Teaming with more than 200 persons whereas the company also will donate an important part to the charitable project that will be chosen by the participants. It always makes me happy to read this kind of concrete news of a company applying the idea and it makes me even happier when it is communicated to the press because this way Teaming keeps on growing. And going back to the phrase on communication I very much agree. Teaming is being communicated more and more and that’s why it exists every day at more places. As from today also in Tomelloso where the basis of the Teaming company Anro is. Today I write a bit in a hurry because I have a day full of Teaming meetings and presentations…
20/5: Asi de simple / As simple as that
La palabra “simple” se ha repetido unas cuantas veces en un mail de Eileen quién me escribió desde la central de Ryanair en Dublin referiendose al Teaming que ya esta moviendo en esta empresa con mas de 5.000 empleados! Me dijo que desde su departamento de RRHH ya tiene luz verde para desarrollar la idea con sus compañeros y pronto me informará de los primeros resultados. Despues de leer estas buenas noticias desde Irlanda abrí un mail de Pedro Sanchez de la empresa Emedialab en Malaga que es bastante mas pequea que Ryanair pero donde acaban de hacer algo muy grande (y simple a la vez) para el Teaming. En su newsletter mensual a 40.000 personas han incluido un banner de Teaming simplemente porque le gusta mucho la iniciativa y quiere que llegue a mucha gente para que lo apliquen. Cuando hablo del Teaming siempre digo que es algo tan simple que incluso cuesta explicar. Pero parece que cada dia hay mas personas (como Eileen y Pedro) que no tienen ningun problema en difundir y aplicar el Teaming. Por cierto hace unos dias hablé con María José Gasso de la empresa Teaming Gaes quién me dijo que una vez que lo empiezas te das cuenta que hacer el Teaming es mucho mas simple de lo que esperabas!

The word “simple” was repeated a couple of times in a mail from Eileen who wrote me from the Ryanair headquarters in Dublin referring to Teaming what she is already moving in this company with more than 5.000 employees! She told me that from her HR department she already got the green light to develop the idea with her colleagues and soon she will inform me about the first results. After reading this good news from Ireland I opened a mail from Pedro Sanchez from the company Emedialab in Malaga which is quite smaller than Ryanair but where they just did something very big (and simple at the same time) for Teaming. In their monthly newsletter to 40.000 persons they included a Teaming banner simply because they like very much the initiative and they want that it reaches many people in order to apply it. When I speak about Teaming I always say that it is so simple that it is even hard to explain. But is seems that every day more persons (like Eileen and Pedro) don’t have any problem spreading and applying the idea. By the way, some days ago I talked to María José Gasso from the Teaming company Gaes who told me that once you start it you realise that doing Teaming is much simpler than you expected!
