29/7: Pasos gigantes en Mexico / Giant steps in Mexico
Como siempre cuando estoy de viaje hay poco tiempo para describir todo lo bueno que esta pasando al Teaming. Por eso aqui un pequeño resumen desde Mexico que explicaré con mas detalle en los próximos dias. Para empezar fue muy bonito escuchar directamente de Beatriz Villanueva de la fundación Fondo Para La Paz como ya reciben importantes donaciones Teaming de Walmart donde sus empleados aplican la idea con solo 6 Pesos por persona al mes doblado por la empresa! Aparte de esto hoy me he dado cuenta que la Universidad Tecnológico de Monterrey es casi como mi segunda casa porque era maravilloso ver las reacciones positivas despues de mi charla y recibir invitaciones para mas eventos. También me impresionó que despues de mi charla para el personal de Nilfisk su Director General Manuel Olea me decia que quiere invertir en un Teaming Manager que se dedica full time al desarrollo de la idea en Mexico! As always when I am travelling there is little time to describe all the good things happening to Teaming. That’s why hereby a little resume from Mexico which I will explain with more details in the next few days. First of all it was very nice to hear directly from Beatriz Villanueva of the foundation Fondo Para La Paz how they already receive important Teaming donations from Walmart where their employees apply the idea with only 6 Pesos per person per month matched by the company! Apart from this today I realised that the University Tecnológico de Monterrey is almost like my second home because it was marvellous to see all the positive reactions after my presentation and to receive invitations for more events. I was also impressed that after my presentation for the Nilfisk staff their Managing Director Manuel Olea told me that he wants to invest in a Teaming Manager who dedicates full time to the development of the idea in Mexico! 26/7: Viva Mexico & Nilfisk!
Estoy a punto de irme al aeropuerto porque hasta el jueves estaré en Mexico. Me ha invitado la multinacional danesa Nilfisk (muchas gracias!) para hablar del Teaming en unos eventos (internos y externos) y también presentaré la idea en el Campus de la universidad Tecnológico de Monterrey. I am about to leave to the airport because until Thursday I will be in Mexico. 25/7: Visitando la policia / Visiting the police
Los policias también hacen Teaming! Ayer he visitado a los Mossos d’Esquadra (para la gente fuera de España es la policia de Catalunya) donde me ha invitado Joan Barris quién trabaja aqui como traductor y ahora también como Teaming Manager. El año pasado ya empezaron a mover el Teaming en los Mossos d’Esquadra a traves de su sindicato (ver www.solidari.cat ) y ahora también digamos de la manera tradicional. Sinceramente hace un año no me podía imaginar que algun dia estaría paseando por los despachos de las policias para presentar el Teaming y por eso el pase de visitante que me dieron es un buen souvenir. Y volviendo a Joan el Teaming Manager me ha gustado mucho ver una vez mas la confirmación que cualquier persona de cualquier departamento puede aplicar la idea con sus compañeros. The police is also doing Teaming! Yesterday I visited the Mossos d’Esquadra (for the people outside Spain this is the police of Catalonia) where I was invited by Joan Barris who works here as a translator and now as a Teaming Manager as well. Last year within the Mossos d’Esquadra they already started moving Teaming through their union (see www.solidari.cat ) and now also let’s say on the traditional way. Honestly a year ago I could not imagine that one day I would be walking around the police offices presenting Teaming and that’s why the visitors pass they gave me is a nice souvenir. And going back to Joan the Teaming Manager I liked very much to see one more time the confirmation that any person of any department can apply the idea with their colleagues. 24/7: Aqui hacemos Teaming / Here we do Teaming
Si practicas el Teaming no hace falta publicar el simbolo de la idea tan grande como he puesto aqui, pero me encanta ver como cada vez mas empresas y otras organizaciones ponen en su web “aqui hacemos Teaming” aunque sea muy pequeño como por ejemplo abajo de todo en la portal de Creativat www.creativat.com Digo esto porque ayer me han hecho una entrevista desde Argentina para la revista Imagen y una de las preguntas era si creo que es bueno o malo que las empresas (o incluso otros equipos como colegios, clubs deportivos, etc.) ”utilizan” el Teaming como instrumento de RRPP. Mi respuesta era que es buenísimo tanto para la organización como para el Teaming. Es positivo cuando una empresa puede enseñar y comunicar un especie de certificado Iso social y virtual como a veces lo llamo. E incluso es mejor para el Teaming porque las únicas 2 cosas que siempre pido a todo el mundo son hacer y difundir el Teaming porque asi sigue creciendo!

If you practice Teaming there is no need to put the symbol of the idea as big as I put here, but I love to see that a raising number of companies and other organisations put at their web “here we do Teaming” although very small as for example at the bottom of the portal of Creativat www.creativat.com I say this because yesterday I was interviewed from Argentina for the magazine Imagen and one of the questions was if I believe it is good or bad that companies (or even other teams like schools, sports clubs, etc.) are “using” Teaming as a PR tool. My answer was that it is extremely good both for the organisation and for Teaming. It’s positive when a company can show and communicate a kind of social and virtual Iso certificate as I sometimes call it. And it’s even better for Teaming because the only 2 things I always ask to everybody is doing and spreading Teaming because this way it keeps on growing!
23/7: El valor de la educación / The value of education
Ayer estaba en el club deportivo Europa donde ya hemos trabajado en los primeros pasos de desarrollar un caso de Teaming muy bonito que en unos meses seguro que será un modelo a seguir para muchos otros clubs deportivos y no solo en España. Tengo este convencimiento porque el exito del Teaming siempre tiene mucho que ver con la energia que una persona invierte en la idea. Y en este sentido es increible como el presidente de CE Europa Guillaume de Bode cree en el Teaming y cómo ya esta moviendo a su gente para aplicarlo pronto. Guillaume me presentó a varias personas de su equipo y uno de ellos era su ex capitan y actual director del campus Xavier Lucas. Era muy interesante hablar con Xavier porque el trabaja con los niños pequeños y me dijo que tiene muchas ganas de hacer el Teaming con ellos porque aparte de generar fondos para proyectos sociales que ellos eligen habrá un gran valor de educación. Por cierto vivimos en un mundo muy pequeño (o quizas esto me parece porque el Teaming se esta haciendo cada dia mas grande?) porque Xavier me dijo que ya conocía el Teaming a través de su mujer Laura quien conocí hace 2 años en la empresa CAF Gestión donde ya han generado mucho Teaming!

Yesterday I was at the sports club Europa where we have already worked on the first steps to develop a very nice Teaming case which for sure within a couple of months will be a model to follow for many other clubs and not only in Spain. I have this convincement because the succes of Teaming always has a lot to do with the energy a person invests in the idea. And in this respect it is incredible how the president of CE Europa Guillaume de Bode believes in Teaming and how he is moving his people to apply it soon. Guillaume presented me to various persons of his team and one of them was their ex captain and current director of their campus Xavier Lucas. It was very interesting talking to Xavier because he works with small children and he told me that he looks forward to doing Teaming with them because apart from generating funds for social projects they will choose there will be a great education value. By the way we are living in a very small world (or perhaps this is what it seems to me because Teaming is getting bigger every day?) because Xavier told me that he already knew about Teaming through his wife Laura who I met 2 years ago in the company CAF Gestión where they already generated a lot of Teaming!
22/7: Teaming goes USA!
Estoy a punto de irme y tengo el dia lleno de reuniones y presentaciones (entre otros en el Club de Fútbol Europa para empezar un gran Teaming con sus socios y jugadores) y por eso hoy solo tengo tiempo para unas palabras rapidas en el blog. Palabras de alegría que sentí cuando esta mañana leí el mail de Lori Varlotta de la Universidad de Sacramento, California quién esta desarrollando el Teaming con estudiantes y compañeros y planificando un evento en que juntos lanzamos este gran ejemplo en EEUU! Words of happiness I felt when this morning I read a mail from Lori Varlotta from the University of Sacramento, California who is developing Teaming with students and colleagues and planning an event in which together we launch this great example in the USA! 21/7: El amor para un hijo / The love for a son
Que mujer mas increible! Es lo que pensé despues de hablar con Maria Antonia de Almería. Su hijo Juanma tiene una enfermedad degenerativa que se llama ”Alexander” y ella esta haciendo absolutamente de todo para captar fondos que necesitan para los tratamientos que pueden salvar al pequeño Juanma. Hablé con Maria Antonia porque ya esta recibiendo donaciones Teaming de la empresa Gaes y viendo el impacto de las microdonaciones en equipo logicamente esta muy motivada para proponer la idea a todas las empresas y colectivos (como colegios, clubs deportivos, asociaciones, etc.) que conoce. No es lo mismo pedir hacer Teaming que pedir una cantidad de dinero. Maria Antonia me dijo que incluso irá un paso mas lejos. Este verano viajará con su familia en caravana por España para pedir 1€ por persona para Juanma porque tiene “la ventaja” que muchos medios de comunicación la conocen y la apoyan. Esta convencida que asi se podrá hacer un Teaming muy directo para Juanma y personalmente me encanta ver cómo la idea se mueve de una persona a otra. What an incredible woman! This is what I thought after talking to Maria Antonia from Almería. Her son Juanma has a degenerative disease called “Alexander” and she is doing absolutely everything to raise funds they need for the treatments that can save little Juanma. I talked to Maria Antonia because she is already receiving Teaming donations from the company Gaes and seeing the impact of the team micro donations logically she is very motivated to propose the idea to all the companies and groups (like schools, sports clubs, associations, etc.) she knows. It’s not the same asking to do Teaming rather than asking for an amount of money. María Antonia told me that she will even go a step further. This Summer she will travel with her family in a caravan through Spain to ask 1€ per person for Juanma because she has “the advantage” that a lot of media know her and support her. She is convinced that this way a very direct Teaming can be done for Juanma and personally I love to see how the idea is moving from one person to another. 20/7: Que crecimiento! / What a growth!
Cuando el año pasado visité a mi amigo Rob de Londres, mi hija África solo tenía 3 meses. Ahora Rob esta viviendo y trabajando en Toronto y ayer me escribió para decirme que ha visto una foto de África en el blog y le parece increible como ha crecido la hermana de Mónica en solo 1 año! También me dió unas buenas noticias para el Teaming que esta creciendo incluso mas rapido que los niños pequeños! En primer lugar su empresa Quiksilver Translations ya esta aplicando el Teaming y segun Rob era muy facil de hacer y solo hubo reacciones positivas de sus compañeros y de la empresa que incluso ofrece traducir la pagina web gratis en frances y alemán! Aparte de esto Rob también esta difundiendo el Teaming a sus clientes y amigos y esta convencido que pronto me podrá enviar mas nuevos casos de Teaming desde Canada. Fantastico! Una vez mas me encanta ver la cantidad de ayuda que una sola persona es capaz de generar cuando mueve el Teaming. Muchas gracias Rob!

When last year I visited my friend Rob from London, my daughter África was only 3 months old. Rob is now living and working in Toronto and yesterday he wrote me to tell me that he saw a picture of África at the blog and he thinks it is incredible how Monica’s sister has grown in only 1 year! He also gave me some good news for Teaming which is growing even faster than small children do! First of all his company Quiksilver Translations is already applying Teaming and according to Rob it was really easy to do and there were only positive reactions from his colleagues and from the company that even offers to translate the web site free of charge into French and German! Aparte from this Rob is also spreading Teaming to his clients and friends and is convinced that soon he can send me more new Teaming cases from Canada. Fantastic! One more time I love to see the quantity of aid one single person is able to generate when moving Teaming. Many thanks Rob!
19/7: Nuevo manual de usuario / New users guide
La pagina web Teaming.info siempre ha sido y siempre será un manual de usuario para poner en marcha la idea en cualquier equipo. Hoy en dia este manual esta usado por cada vez mas Teaming Managers en empresas y otros colectivos de diferentes paises que ya estan ayudando a mucha gente sin esfuerzo de nadie. Como el numero de visitantes ha crecido tanto en los ultimos meses hay bastantes problemas tecnicos con la web actual y aparte de esto veo que hay una necesidad para mas interactividad entre gente que ya esta aplicando el Teaming y personas que acaban de descubrir la idea. Por eso Salem Samhoud de la empresa &Samhoud, que me apoya economicamente y con su estructura internacional, ha ofrecido construir una web completamente nueva y mas potente para que el Teaming pueda crecer mucho mas. Genial, muchas gracias Salem! The web site Teaming.info always has been and always will be a users guide to start the idea in any team. Nowadays this guide is used by more and more Teaming Managers in companies and other groups in different countries that are already helping many people without anybody’s effort. As the number of visitors has grown so much in the past few months there are quite some technical problems with the current web and apart from this I see that there is a need for more interactivity between people already applying Teaming and persons that just discovered the idea. That’s why Salem Samhoud of the company &Samhoud, that supports me financially and with their international structure, offered to build a complete new and more powerful web so that Teaming can grow much more. Great, many thanks Salem! In August I will be in Holland to work on the first steps and I would like to receive mails to jil@teaming.info from everybody who has suggestions and ideas for this new Teaming engine and space.
