15/7: Teaming para todos / Teaming for all
Hace casi un año, el 18 de julio 2007, visité a Rafa Carracosa de Medicos Sin Fronteras Barcelona. Me acuerdo que hablamos de que el Teaming se hace mucho para proyectos concretos a traves de fundaciones pequeñas donde hay un contacto personal con el Teaming Manager aunque también hay casos de Teaming para los grandes en el tercer sector. Por ejemplo Ignacio Pastor con sus 25 compañeros y su empresa Eurochange en Alicante hacen Teaming y generan 50€ al mes para Unicef. Por eso como fundación siempre tiene sentido proponer la idea como una opción mas de ayudar. Ayer pensé en esta reunión con Rafa cuando recibí un mail de Cesc Bordas, Director de Marketing de PepsiCo Iberia, confirmando que estan haciendo un gran Teaming con muchos compañeros y que la empresa dobla la cantidad que estan destinando a Medicos Sin Fronteras que les envían informes detalladas sobre quién ayudan con las donaciones Teaming. Genial! Aunque la gente solo paga una cantidad simbolica de 1€ al mes logicamente quiere saber exactamente donde van los fondos. Pero aparte de este ”control” creo que el factor “emoción” es mas importante cuando los participantes de Teaming ven por ejemplo a un niño con nombre y apellido que han podido salvar gracias a un mini esfuerzo en equipo…

Almost a year ago, 18 July 2007, I visited Rafa Carracosa from Doctors Without Borders Barcelona. I remember that we talked about Teaming being done often for concrete projects through small foundations where there is a personal contact with the Teaming Manager although there are also Teaming cases for the big ones in the third sector. For example Ignacio Pastor with his 25 colleagues and his company Eurochange in Alicante do Teaming and generate 50€ per month for Unicef. So as a foundation it always makes sense to propose the idea as another option to help. Yesterday I thought about this meeting with Rafa when I received a mail from Cesc Bordas, Marketing Director of PepsiCo Iberia, confirming that they are doing a big Teaming with many colleagues and that the company is matching the amount they are giving to Doctors Without Borders that sends them detailed reports about who they help with the Teaming donations. Great! Although people only pay a symbolic amount of 1€ per month logically they want to know exactly where these funds go to. But apart from this “control” I believe that the “emotion” factor is more important when the Teaming participants see for example a child with name and surname they have been able to save thanks to a mini effort by a team…
