31/8: Gracias/Thanks … Nexe & Apsocecat
El hecho que este verano he podido trabajar mucho en el Teaming y que incluso he podido viajar para difundir la idea ha sido basicamente gracias a las fundaciones Nexe y Apsocecat que organizan excursiones para niños discapacitados en epoca de vacaciones oficiales de los colegios publicos. Mañana lunes por ejemplo Mónica se va por una semana a Palamós y los padres tenemos la tranquilidad de que nuestros hijos estan en manos de gente muy especializada. Por eso me gustaría escribir unas palabras de agradecimiento para Nexe y Apsocecat que por cierto también ofrece el Teaming como opción para colaborar. Ver la parte de donaciones en www.apsocecat.org Me alegro mucho que cada vez mas fundaciones ven el valor del Teaming para captar fondos y que difunden la idea tal y como ví por ejemplo en la pagina web de Fundase de Bolivia!

The fact that this Summer I have been able to work a lot on Teaming and that I even could do some travel in order to spread the idea has been basically thanks to the foundations Nexe and Apsocecat that organise excursions for disabled children in the period of the official public school holidays. Tomorrow Monday for example Mónica will go for a week to Palamós and as parents we have the tranquility that our children are in hands of very specialized people. 29/8: Burritos y abogados / Donkeys and lawyers
Personalmente no conozco ningún servicio, producto, empresa o fundación que aparece en la pagina web de un despacho de abogados y en un folleto de un refugio de burritos. Pero el Teaming sí! Por eso estas dos imagenes juntas dicen mas que muchas palabras… Tanto el refugio de burritos en Fuente de Pedra y el despacho de abogados Treintaytres de Zaragoza hacen y/o difunden el Teaming. Esta variedad es lo que mas me gusta trabajando en el Teaming que realmente esta creciendo cada dia gracias al trabajo, energía e ideas de presidentes de multinacionales hasta voluntarios de pequeñas fundaciones. Otro ejemplo mirando mi agenda es que el martes que viene presentaré el Teaming primero en Accenture y despues para la Asociación de Ecuatorianos. Que sigamos asi, muchas gracias a todos!

Personally I don’t know any service, product, company or foundation that appears at the web site of a lawyers office and in a brochure of a donkey sanctuary. But Teaming does! That’s why these two images together say more than many words… Both the donkey sanctuary in Fuente de Pedra and the lawyers office Treintaytres from Zaragoza do and/or spread Teaming. This variety is what I like most working on Teaming which actually is growing every day thanks to the work, energy and ideas from presidents of multinationals until volunteers of small foundations. Another example checking my agenda is that next Tuesday I will present Teaming first within Accenture and after that for the Association of Ecuadorians. 28/8: Esto lo admiro! / I admire this!
El Teaming esta llegando a mucha gente sobre todo gracias a personas como Pedro de Madrid o Maria de Almería. Lo explico… Acabo de ver un video de Pedro en www.dotnetsolidario.com donde esta en una reunión con Microsoft presentando qué es el Teaming y cual es la relación con su proyecto. Genial Pedro! Despues abrí un mail de Maria quién ya me había contactado hace unas semanas sobre el hecho que estan haciendo el Teaming en su trabajo (Cajamar, 4.000 empleados) y ahora me escribe que acaba de volver de Estocolmo donde ha visitado la Semana Del Agua (World Water Week) y donde ha dejado información de Teaming a mucha gente que ha conocido relacionada con proyectos de agua potable. Genial María! Aún no sé cual será el resultado gracias al esfuerzo hecho por Pedro y Maria, pero admiro muchísimo que difunden de esta manera el Teaming! Teaming is reaching many people especially thanks to persons like Pedro from Madrid or María from Almería. I´ll explain… I just saw a video from Pedro at www.dotnetsolidario.com where he is in a meeting with Microsoft presenting what is Teaming and which is the relation with his project. Great Pedro! After this I opened a mail from María who already contacted me some weeks ago about the fact that they are doing Teaming at her work (Cajamar, 4.000 employees) and now she writes me that she just came back from Stockholm where she visited the World Water Week and where she left Teaming information to many people she met related to drinkable water projects. Great María! I still don’t know what the result will be thanks to the effort made by Pedro and María but I do admire a lot that they spread Teaming this way! 27/8: Geven = dar / Geven = to give
Acabo de leer un articulo muy bonito sobre el Teaming que se publicará en octubre en la revista Happinez en Holanda. Inez van Oord empezó Happinez, que solo da noticias positivas, hace 5 años y ahora esta entre las revistas mas grandes de mi pais. Este hecho da mucha esperanza y quizas significa que algo esta cambiando? Cuando buscaba una imagen de Happinez en internet encontré esta que tiene el titulo Geven que significa Dar en holandés. No conozco el contenido pero estoy muy de acuerdo que dar al final genera mucha felicidad. No es una teoría. Es algo que estoy viviendo en la practica cada dia. Cada ejemplo de Teaming que recibo me hace feliz sabiendo que alguien esta notando un poco de ayuda gracias a las micro donaciones en equipo que no siempre se hace con dinero. Por ejemplo Isabel de Chile me escribió hace unos dias que ha “copiado” el ejemplo de Veronica de Argentina que ha leido en mi libro. Isabel es profesora y ha pedido un juegete a los niños de su clase que acaban de dar juntos al hospital infantil Roberto del Rio. Precioso!

I just read a very nice article about Teaming that will be published in October in the magazine Happinez in Holland. Inez van Oord started Happinez, which only covers positive news, 5 years ago and is now between the biggest magazines of my country. This fact gives a lot of hope and perhaps it means that something is changing? When I was looking for an image of Happinez at the internet I found this one that has the title Geven which means To give in Dutch. I don’ know the contents but I very much agree that giving in the end generates a lot of happiness. This is not a theory. This is something I am experiencing in practice every day. Every Teaming example I receive makes me happy knowing that somebody is noticing a little bit of aid thanks to the team micro donations that are not always done with money. For example Isabel from Chile wrote me a couple of days ago that she “copied” the example of Veronica from Argentina she read in my book. Isabel is teacher and asked for a toy to the children of her class they just gave together to the childrens hospital Roberto del Rio. Beautiful!
26/8: También los gimnasios / Fitness centers too
Estoy notando mucho que en España las vacaciones de la gente se estan acabando. Desde ayer hay muchas mas visitas a la web y de repente hay muchos mails desde el pais donde vivo. Uno de ellos era de Martín Sanchez de la cadena de gimnasios Holmes Place. Me dijo que ya estan aplicando el Teaming con sus empleados en diferentes centros en Madrid y Barcelona y ahora quieren empezar algo mas grande con sus socios porque hasta ahora la experiencia ha sido muy positiva. Que bueno! Hemos quedado para vernos porque Martín me ha pedido unos consejos ya que la web actual es un manual de instrucciones para hacer el Teaming con compañeros en empresas y falta información para otros colectivos como por ejemplo socios de cadenas de gimnasios. Martín tiene toda la razón y será precisamente una de las novedades en la web de Teaming que estamos desarrollando. Habrá una base de datos abierta donde se puede consultar los ejemplos Teaming por categoría (empresas, clubs deportivos, colegios, amigos, estudiantes, etc.) y por pais. Seguro que Holmes Place será un buen ejemplo a seguir!

I am noticing a lot that in Spain people’s holidays are coming to an end. Since yesterday there are much more visits to the web and suddenly there are many mails from the country I am living in. One of them was from Martín Sanchez from the health clubs chain Holmes Place. He told me that they are already applying Teaming with their employees in different centers in Madrid and Barcelona and now they want to start something bigger with their members because until now the experience has been very positive. This is great! We agreed to meet because Martín has asked me for some advices since the current web is an instruction guide to do Teaming with colleagues in companies and there is a lack of information for other groups as for example members of a fitness chain. Martín is fully right and this will be precisely one of the new items at the Teaming web we are developing. There will be an open data base where Teaming examples can be consulted by category (companies, sports clubs, schools, friends, students, etc. ) and by country. Sure that Holmes Place will be a good example to follow!
25/8: Movimiento social? / Social movement?
Cuando hace unos años la agencia de publicidad Kreatia se ofreció para ayudar gratis con la comunicación del Teaming una de las primeras cosas que me decian era que sería importante tener un logo/simbolo (el corazón) porque es lo que tiene la mayoría de los movimientos sociales. Ya me había olvidado de esta palabra hasta ayer cuando leí que en Argentina Marcelo Salla describe en su blog Experiencia Teaming con mucho detalle cual es la definición de un movimiento social según Wikipedia para despues justificar que el Teaming ya es uno de ellos! Me sigue sorprendiendo de una manera muy positiva que gente como Marcelo habla asi sobre la idea y aún me sorprende mas desde donde a veces me llegan los mails. Por ejemplo acabo de contestar a Rebecca Gavin de Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group en Hong Kong (!) quién tenía unas preguntas técnicas porque ya estan moviendo el Teaming en su empresa. Como si fuera algo normal! Quizas mi problema es que a veces aún me cuesta creer lo que ya esta pasando con el Teaming y quizas Marcelo tiene razón? Ver www.experienciateaming.blogspot.com

When some years ago the advertising agency Kreatia offered themselves to help for free with the communication of Teaming one of the first things they told me is that it would be important to have a logo/symbol (the heart) because this is what most of the social movements have. I already forgot about this word until yesterday when I read that in Argentina Marcelo Salla describes at his blog Experiencia Teaming with a lot of details (also in English) what the definition of a social movement is according to Wikipedia justifying afterwards that Teaming is already one of them! I keep on being surprised on a very positive way that people like Marcelo talk this way about the idea and it surprises me even more from where I receive mails sometimes. I for example just answered to Rebecca Gavin from the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Hong Kong (!) who had some technical questions because they are already moving Teaming in their company. 24/8: Tranquilos, es honesta / Don’t worry, it’s honest
Cómo me gusta cuando veo que cualquier persona puede empezar el Teaming con sus compañeros en cualquier empresa! Hoy me llegó un ejemplo de un empleado de la Renfe (para la gente fuera de España es la red nacional de trenes) quien esta moviendo la idea con sus compañeros e incluso ya propone la fundación Sonrisas de Bombay donde por cierto también estan recibiendo mas donaciones Teaming de otras empresas. Describo este ejemplo porque en una empresa grande la manera mas facil para empezar el Teaming es desde abajo hacia arriba. Una vez que esta en marcha el numero de participantes solo puede crecer. Pero por suerte también hay cada vez mas casos de Teaming en multinacionales iniciado por el presidente como ha hecho Jeroen van Breda Vriesman quien ha empezado a mover la idea en Achmea (Holanda) y dirige un equipo de mas de 3.500 personas. Creo que nunca debería haber problema mientras se explica bien que el Teaming es transparente, voluntario y democratico. I do like it a lot when I see that any person can start Teaming with their colleagues in any company! Today I received an example from a Renfe employee (for the people outside Spain this is the national train network) who is moving the idea with colleagues and who even already proposes the foundation Sonrisas de Bombay where they by the way are also receiving more Teaming donations from other companies. I describe this example because in a big company the easiest way to start Teaming is bottom up. Once it has been set up the number of participants can only grow. But luckily there are also more examples of Teaming in multinationals initiated by the president as Jeroen van Breda Vriesman has done who started to move the idea in Achmea (Holland) and who manages a team over 3.500 employees. I think that there never should be any problem whereas it is explained well that Teaming is transparent, voluntary and democratic. 23/8: La última palabra / The last word
Me acuerdo muy bien el dia que los doctores de Mónica dijeron que mi hija llegaría a los 3 o 4 años en el caso mas optimista. El 8 de octubre que viene ya cumplirá 10 anos y Mónica esta demonstrando que los doctores no tienen la última palabra. Uso esta frase porque la leí en el blog de Rita Lucia de Peru quién tuvo un grave accidente y los doctores la dijeron a los 20 años que no volvería a caminar nunca mas. Rita Lucia también esta demonstrando lo contrario pero necesita fondos para su rehabilitación y medicamentos. Por eso su familia y amigos han montado un Teaming muy bonito y creativo (no solo con dinero, sino incluso con tiempo!) sobre que ya escribí hace unos dias pero con demasiado prisa porque estaba descansando unos dias con mi familia. Por eso quería destacar este ejemplo una vez mas con mas detalle porque vale la pena ver cómo el Teaming no solo se puede aplicar entre compañeros en empresas sino también entre amigos para una amiga! I remember very well the day that Mónica’s doctors told that my daughter would reach the age of 3 or 4 years in the most positive case. Next October the 8th she will celebrate her 10th birthday and Mónica is showing that doctors don’t have the last word. I use this phrase because I read it at the blog of Rita Lucia from Peru who had a serious accident and the doctors told her that at the age of 20 she would not be able to walk never again. Rita Lucia is also showing the contrary but needs funds for her rehabilitation and medicines. That’s why her familiy and friends set up a very nice and creative Teaming (not only with money, but even with time!) I already wrote about some days ago but too much in a hurry because I was having a break with my family for a couple of days. That’s why I wanted to highlight this example one more time with more details because it is worth to see how Teaming is not only being applied between colleagues in companies but also between friends for a friend! 20/8: En Londres con Deco / In London with Deco
Aunque estos dias tengo poco tiempo para escribir me gustaría compartir rapidamente la siguiente noticia. Hace unos dias ya escribí sobre mi reunión positiva con Allan Panza, Director de la fundación del futbolista Deco quien por cierto ha tenido un debut excelente en el Chelsea el domingo pasado. Pero como de esto ya se escribe mucho prefiero hablar de su parte humana… Porque desde mi primer café con Allan todo ha ido muy rapido y hay muy buenas noticias! En pimero lugar Deco quiere apoyar publicamente la iniciativa y pronto haremos conjuntamente una rueda de prensa en Londres que seguro que va a generar mucho Teaming en Inglaterra. Aparte de esto su fundación www.deco20.org.br ya esta representando el Teaming en Brasil y finales de octubre estaré con ellos en Sao Paolo para presentar la idea a empresas, fundaciones y prensa. Although these days I have little time to write I would like to share quickly the following news. A couple of days ago I already wrote about my positive meeting with Allan Panza, Director of the foundation of football player Deco who by the way had an excellent debut with Chelsea last Sunday. But as about this already a lot is written I prefer to talk about his human part… Because since my first coffee with Allan eveything has gone really quick and there is very good news! First of all Deco wants to support publicly the initiative and soon we will give together a press conference in London which for sure will generate a lot of Teaming in England. Apart from this his foundation www.deco20.org.br is already representing Teaming in Brasil and by the end of October I will be with them in Sao Paolo to present the idea to companies, foundations and the press. A lot of Teaming and aid in two big countries as England and Brasil are thanks to the heart of one person. Many thanks Deco!
18/8: Pensar en grande / Thinking big
Estoy a punto de irme a Holanda para trabajar con Salem Samhoud y su equipo http://www.samhoud.com/nl/over-ons/medewerkers/wie-zijn-wij en el desarrollo y el futuro de Teaming. Ultimamente hablo mucho de Latino America pero no hay que olvidar todo lo bueno que esta pasando en Europa especialmente gracias a Salem Samhoud quien es una persona que siempre piensa en grande. Por eso su empresa &Samhoud es ahora el numero 5 Great Place To Work en Europa (!) y numero 1 en Holanda. Desde el primer dia de su compromiso de apoyarme economicamente y con su estructura internacional Salem no habla de Teaming en Holanda. Prefiere pensar en Europa e incluso en el mundo. Cuando en el 2000 empecé a trabajar en la idea siempre pensé que debe ser posible que algun dia el Teaming será algo normal y natural en las empresas como es hoy en dia por ejemplo el Marketing. Mucha gente me decia que es un sueño bonito pero quizas algo utopico. Salem y yo pensamos que los sueños pueden realizarse…

I am about to leave to Holland to work with Salem Samhoud and his team http://www.samhoud.com/nl/over-ons/medewerkers/wie-zijn-wij on the development and future of Teaming. Lately I talk a lot about Latin America but we shouldn’t forget all the great things happening in Europe especially thanks to Salem Samhoud who is a person that always thinks big. That’s why his company &Samhoud is now the number 5 Great Place To Work in Europe (!) and number 1 in Holland. Since the first day of his compromise to support me financially and with his international structure Salem doesn’t talk about Teaming in Holland. He prefers thinking about Europe and even worldwide. When in the year 2000 I started working on the idea I always thought that it should be possible that one day Teaming will be something normal and natural within the companies as it is nowadays for example Marketing. A lot of people told me that this is a nice dream but perhaps slightly utopian. Salem and I think that dreams can come true…
